Learning: The Jewish Museum

As the Jewish Museum’s former Head of Learning, Caroline Marcus:

  • Developed a vision, five year strategy and business plan
  • Led and managed the team
  • Designed engaging creative programmes
  • Created partnerships, networks and championed the museum
  • Managed the budget and contributed to fundraising proposals
  • Contributed to the strategic development of the museum as a senior management team member

Highlights of a highly successful tenure include winning the Sandford Award for Education, 2012 and being long-listed for the Telegraph Family Friendly Museums Award, 2012.

“The Head of Learning is an extremely experienced and passionate teacher and leads the strategic development of an equally well qualified and passionate team. Team meetings and CPD are integral and all team members, including freelancers, (whose contribution is vital to accommodate demand) and those volunteer museum assistants who engage with school groups are regularly consulted and kept up to date.”
